Customers are currently reporting serious problems with windows suddenly appearing on the screening warning of serious security problems.

The warning may claim that you have hundreds of infections, and will present an option to scan the computer to remove these threats. The window appears to be trustworthy. If you click on the scan button you will see the scan, but the window repeats the warning of multiple threats.

Often the application gives you an opportunity to remove the offending Trojans and Virus but paying the activation fee makes no difference, and only puts your credit card information in the hands of the persons responsible for the malware!

If you have this happen, contact us as you may have the Security Center Infestation.

In one instance, a trojan was identified which targets usernames and passwords. In 4 of the 5 infestations, file attributes for protected system files (such as creation date, file size) were changed which meant that the security software reacted and reported system files as being infected when they were actually secure.

Infections are still continuing, with 2 to 3 infestations a month.
